It’s that time of year again. August has the best sunsets, also the saddest cause we know it’s almost over 🙂
Artists gracing the stage this time!
-Laura Rafetseder
She loves catchy tunes as well as good metaphors and images, there’s nothing better… a constant theme are dialectics and contradictions – good and bad, dream and reality, up and down, bitter and sweet…. always been fascinated by the contradiction of sadness and happyness in popmusic – cos the great songs touch a nerve, make you happy and sad, usually both at the same time.
-Phil Conrad
Hailing from Chicago, Phil has lived in Vienna for the last 10 years and runs the city’s multifaceted open stage (Open Phil). He began his musical career singing songs and performing with his sister Susie Asado (one of the weirdest Ukulele songwriters on the Internet and a Gertrude Stein Character).Together they are known as Crazy for Jane. Phil will perform both his own songs and those he wrote with his sister. Song themes include shipwreck, desperation, monsters, fucking up, stolen guitars and never giving up. Phil has toured with bands like Months of Indecision and performed with the likes of Kimya Dawson and Jeffery Lewis.
-Lucas Raffael
Anspruchsvolle Popmusik – so wurde Lucas Raffaels Musik zuletzt von Musikkennern bezeichnet. Bisher war hauptsächlich das Songwriting im Fokus, nun wird der erste Song bald veröffentlicht.
-Isaac Thompson
